Tim grew up and now lives in the 'Black Country' which is part of Central England
The area was so named because in the past it was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution, with hundreds of family cottage industries and included
nailmaking and chainmaking, forging and metalwork

He trained at 'art college' and then gained a degree in 'fine art' at University
Tim has always been interested in bringing art to a wider audience such as hospitals,
schools and day centres, and wherever possible has done so.
He also enjoys working with adults with learning disabilities,
and so in latter years became a part time lecturer with a local
'college of continuing education'

Some time laterTim went on a trip to Africa on a school building project,
and this influenced his painting and sense of color,
as can be seen in 'Kitbe's Emporium.

Tim's commissioned work includes large painted murals
for local authorities, a large shopping complex,
and a restaurant in the East Midlands

Tim has consistently painted since college, and has exhibited widely
in Central England in both one man shows and group exhibitions

He has also been involved in the local youth 'jigsaw theatre' and workshops,
and has also helped co-ordinate a visual arts festival in the 'Black Country'

Tim has evolved his own style and a distinct use of color over the years
and enjoys experimentation with different media in painting to get the effect he wants
and it is not unknown for a painting to take a year to complete to his satisfaction
